March 2016 update

Each year, Tri City Sound's busiest few months start in November and end after Contest in April. This year, we worked hard and performed several Christmas shows in the Lompoc and Santa Maria communities.

We celebrated our Director Barbara Nigh's Birthday along with our annual Chorus Christmas Party on December 5.

Our Annual Christmas Friends and Family Performance was a success on December 10, even though our dear Barbara Nigh was absent due to knee replacement surgery (from which she has just about recovered completely!)

Our Co-Director, Cindy Pilios, along with members, Linda Hicks, Susan Scheetz and Diana Brown filled in and directed our Chorus for our Christmas performance. Great Job Everyone!

In January, we rehearsed for a busy February Valentines weekend, which included three performances as well as Singing Valentines.

Many of our January, February and March rehearsals included dual members of the Pacific Horizon Chorus from San Luis Obispo, as both our Choruses are participating in contest this weekend. Many of our TCS members who are PHC duals participated in a weekend retreat with PHC in March.

On February 27, our Chorus joined the Central Coast Chordsmen Chorus of Santa Maria in participating in the Sixth Annual Youth Festival. The two Choruses spent the day training volunteer youth in the Barbershop way...culminating in a well-attended fabulous performance for friends and family. Congratulations to all the participants and instructors. We were grateful to Janice Kueppers, Region 11 Young Women In Harmony Coordinator, for her participation as well.
